Exploring Movement

What you get:

Have you ever watched yourself move and wondered: why do I always do it like that?

In this workshop we explore how we move – and what becomes possible when we start to pay attention. Through movement input rooted in contemporary and house dance, we’ll look at the small things: how you use space, how you respond to rhythm, what shapes your body naturally reaches for.

Through guided exercises and improvisation, we’ll uncover the habits and patterns that live in our dancing – and gently shake them up. The goal isn’t to learn a specific style, but to turn up our curiosity: How can we surprise ourselves? What happens when we move alongside others, in response to others, in the same shared space?

No performance pressure. No right or wrong. Just movement, attention, and a good dose of curiosity.

This workshop is open to anyone who moves – whether you come from dance, martial arts, or just love to dance at parties. Some experience with moving your body intentionally is helpful, but you don’t need a specific background. If you’re curious about how you move and excited to explore – this space is for you.

Note: Bring something to film yourself with (a phone is fine) – we might use short video clips as a playful tool for self-reflection.
