Andrea Vezga Acevedo

Persönlicher Weg:

Andrea Vezga Acevedo is an interdisciplinary performance artist from Costa Rica/Venezuela. She holds a BA Degree in Contemporary Dance from the National University of Costa Rica and a Master in Arts and Science from the Universität für Angewandte Kunst Wien.

She is particularly passionate about African and Afro-Latin dance styles and has had the opportunity to train under the guidance of Argelia Arreola, M’Bemba Bangoura, Mariama Camara, Christa Fatoumata Sylla, Mouminatou Camara, and many others.

Her current practice is propelled by ethnocentric research and authentic movement. Andrea has collaborated with various artists in Vienna and abroad. Her body of work encompasses exhibitions, films, performances, lectures, and mixed-media projects.
