Elda Maria Gallo

About Elda:

Elda Gallo is a contemporary dancer and performer based in Vienna. She graduated from the Dance Theatre Academy Paolo Grassi in Milan and from SEAD – Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance. Her work moves between contemporary dance, performance, and choreography.

She has worked internationally with companies such as Insieme Irreali / Pietro Marullo and Natiscalzi DT, as well as in Austria with TanzCoop, Vrum, Lazuz, Cie Two in One, PUC Collective, MAP Vienna / Georg Blaschke, Ulduz Ahmadzadeh, and Elisabeth Ward, and in various productions at Dschungel Wien (AT).

Over the years she has collaborated with artists including Masako Matsushita, Rebecca Murgi, Eyal Bromberg, Luca Signoretti, Matteo Marfoglia, and Sebastian Zuber.In recent years, she has developed a strong interest in Contact Improvisation and has been actively involved in the community. She is interested in integrating the principles of this practice into her own artistic research and sharing them with others.
