Jerca Rožnik Novak

Persönlicher Weg:

Jerca studied at the Academy of Contemporary Dance Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, Austria where she graduated with a master’s degree in dance pedagogy. As a freelance dancer she has worked with choreographers such as Willi Dorner, Gisela Elisa Heredia , Matjaž Farič, Enya Belak, Johannes Wieland, Vita Osojnik, Johannes Randolf, Damian Cortes Alberti, Andreja Podrzavnik.

She collaborates with editta braun company and SILK Fluegge company since 2014. She lives and works between Vienna, Linz and Ljubljana.

Contemporary dance technique

The class focuses on the dancer’s connection with the floor through simple movement patterns. We use simple sequences and exercises focusing on circular movement of the body. Throughout activation of strength and breath we move as efficiently as possible. The emphasis of the training is on the pleasure of movement, activation of the body, achieving a fluid movement quality and “dancing yourself out”.
